The Mirror Doesn’t Lie

THE MIRROR

It’s the secret doorway…
To our evolution, elevation, and emancipation.

As individuals…
AND
As a collective.

Do you have the courage to look?
To see your reflection—stark yet luminous—in the bright light of truth?

Are you willing to look in the mirror…
with eyes wide open…
And see yourself in your comprehensiveness?
In your entirety?
In your layers?
In your good, bad, ugly, and beautiful?

Are you willing to look under your hood and examine your engine?
See what’s driving you?
See what’s truly motivating you?

Inevitably you’ll discover there are things both innocent and uninnocent—things both integrated and disintegrated—serving as your personal fuel.

It’s game-changing to know this about yourself.

Are you willing to confront yourself?
To grapple with the honest reflection of yourself?
Virtues and vices alike?

Doing so with self-love…
With self-forgiveness…
And yet with brutal honesty?

What’s reflected in the mirror is the unflinching truth.
But are we willing to face the truth?

Or are we prone to be blinded by the truth?
And thereby avert our eyes?
And settle for half-truths.
For deceptions and distortions.
Preferring the comfort of what’s familiar to the discomfort of what’s true?

We don’t see ourselves with accuracy.
We don’t KNOW ourselves.
We relate to our very selves at an arm’s-length.
We’re not intimate with ourselves.
We’re cut off from ourselves.

The mirror is the wormhole, the portal, bringing us back to ourselves.
Allowing for a homecoming.
Allowing for a return to our wholeness.
Facilitating a reimmersion in being at one with ourself.

In my one-on-one Mentorship work with clients, “success” in reaching a goal or solving a life problem generally comes down to how much truth the client is willing and able to take in.

Can the rigid belief constructs be set down?
For it’s patterns of belief that keep us trapped in a prison of our own making.

Can we loosen our grip on our ego? Just enough to create some flow, fluidity, and elasticity—a softening that allows for brand new promise and possibility to be born?

The truth will set us free.

But are we willing to take in the truth?
And set our compass to it?

Love + Oneness,
Naomi
