Social Change Starts Within

To me…
Changing our world comes down to this.

1.  KNOW THYSELF

2.  UNDERSTAND OTHERS

3.  HONOR DIFFERENCE

4.  EMBRACE ONENESS

They dance together.
They intersect and interface.

KNOW THYSELF comes first.
It’s foundational if we mean it when we say we want to live in a better world.

We tend to be scanning the environment and detecting a sea of flaws and glitches.

And being stand-up people, we want those  problems healed, corrected, restored.

And yet we ARE the world.
We are not just in the world…

Yes… WE ARE THE WORLD!
The world is in us.

And that is why changing the world starts with cultivating self-knowledge.
We must get to know ourselves.
Become intimate with ourselves.

We look out at the world and balk. Because it is, indeed, an outright $hit Show.

And yet we don’t put the pieces together to notice that the $hit Show is us.

This world is our best effort as a human collective.
This is what we’ve created.
This is what we’ve manifested for ourselves.

The human collective is made up of individuals.
Each individual contributes to the whole and helps set the terms for the entirety.

Every human contributes to the collective consciousness.
The collective consciousness is the sum of ALL its parts.

That means YOU MATTER.
More than you realize.
Your words, thoughts, deeds, views, and areas of needed healing matter.

Your virtues and vices matter.
Your strengths and sins matter.
Your successes and shadows matter.
All of it adds to the quantum soup we’re ALL living in.

YOU are broadcasting “who you are” in a holistic, comprehensive manner… into the world around you… and into the world writ large.

The flaws we see in our world live within us, not just outside of us.
But we tend to keep our focus “out there.”
Staring at the road kill.
Instead of mining for what’s alive within us that’s being reflected for us.

What greed is within us?
What judgment?
What toxicity?
What hatred?
What adamancy that WE are right and others wrong?

We gaze out upon this profoundly imperfect world of ours, while mistaking ourselves to be a fly on the wall… a mere observer rather than a key player.

Every individual is a key player in how the world is.

Love + Oneness,
Naomi
