Let’s Sacralize Politics
All too often…
We edge out spirituality…
… crowd out divinity…
We ignore the Feminine Principle…
… overlook the Yin aspect…
We disregard the mystical, mythical, metaphysical, and magical…
In order to engage in “politics.”
And in “culture wars.”
And in “struggles over representation”…
aka, struggles over who gets to represent what… and HOW.
We act as if governance—and the attendant efforts to set the terms for how things operate—can ever be neatly excised from our personal values, morals, ethics, belief systems, spiritual understandings…
and from the immutable laws of the universe.
We act as if politics can be cleanly separated from the way we perceive the world…
and from the way we experience life.
The worst oversight that occurs within politics is that we make a religion of it.
We worship at our respective political altars.
We lose all sense of nuance and layeredness.
Ignoring the complexity of things.
Disregarding the intrinsic Oneness and interwoven-ness of things.
We wind up in silos.
We get relegated to outright cults.
“My Cult is Better Than Yours” becomes the working title of the game we wind up playing.
We play this reductionist game…
This game of over-simplifying and over-generalizing…
All the while snuffing out the actual “higher intelligence.”
And all the while eliding the truth of our human interconnectedness.
We stubbornly—and inaccurately, or at the very least incompletely—see everything through a narrow filter…
through a limited 3-D lens.
“Politics,” as we know it, is of the 3-D…
in absurd and extreme proportions.
Yes, politics is of the 3-D, not of the 5-D.
AND the political sphere is bizarrely rife with qualities that are entirely at odds with a spiritual framing of the world.
Politics is rife with angling, spinning, lying, manipulating, tricking, side-stepping, fast-talking, and saying whatever the moment seems to be calling for, based on wherever the wind is blowing.
It’s rife with greed.
Rather than grace and generosity of spirit.
It’s a game of win-or-lose instead of a game of win-win.
It’s a game of competition rather than cooperation.
It’s a GAME, period.
A game in which WE are being played.
Love + Oneness,
Naomi
