The Solutions Are Spiritual

I’ve been reflecting of late on how much stock we put in politics…
When we are great creator beings.

We are artists of life, the world our canvas.

We persist in the magical-thinking that government (aka, big daddy) is going to solve our problems for us.
And he never comes through.

Election after election, no matter who wins, problems of mind-boggling magnitude continue to abound.

Don’t hear me wrong.
Don’t distort what I’m saying.
For I’m not saying politics doesn’t matter.

I absolutely believe politics has its place.
Politics is important.
Provided we keep its role in perspective and in context.

No, it’s not that politics don’t matter.
It’s just that politics matter LESS than we make them out to.

We overestimate the importance of politics.

And we underestimate the importance of ourselves…

Of our own mindset and skill set.
Of our own thoughts, words, and deeds.
Of our own wholeness, healed-ness, soundness, and integrated-ness.

We underestimate the very real power we ourselves have…
to proactively set the terms of our lives…
and of the world around us.

We aren’t hapless victims of circumstance.
We aren’t flies on the wall of life.

We are contributing to the collective consciousness.
To the ethers.
To the quantum soup we all reside in…
the very air around us awash in “intelligence.”

So the question looms…
Are we being intelligent?
Are we being wise?
Are we being insightful?
Are we being humanitarian?

Or are we being dogmatists and demagogues?
Parrots and puppets?
Virtual cult members, toe-ing our party line?

The collective consciousness is shaping human reality far more than politics is.

Politics REFLECTS our collective consciousness.
Yes, OURS.
Not “theirs.”

WE are writing the plotline of our very own movie script…
while having no idea of it.

WE are the arbiters of our own destiny…
to a far greater extent than we tend to realize.

When has politics ever saved us?

WE must save us.
WE must change.
WE must transform.
 
We have within us the very real power to transform.

And it’s through we ourselves changing that we will change the world around us.

It’s through BEING THE CHANGE that we will generate real, lasting change.
