Let People Be Who They Are

GURU.
G… U    R    U.

G - U - R - U.
Gee… you are you.

I’m a big proponent of BEING YOURSELF.
Your true self.
Your authentic self.
Finding that courage.

I’m a big advocate for cracking out of our conditioning and bursting beyond the bubble of our indoctrination.

The thing is…
There’s no need to coerce others into your views, your visions, your reality.

Sure, plant seeds.
But don’t become a PUSHER of your own way of doing and being.

Don’t declare yourself the arbiter of all things right and true. All things enlightened.

Don’t be an evangelist for your latest and greatest perspectives.

Be you…
Absolutely.
But allow others to be who they are.

It’s not easy…
We get so enthusiastic about whatever is currently making our spirit rise that we want it for everyone else.

The thing is…
What makes your spirit rise isn’t necessarily going to be what makes their spirit rise.

Honor your discoveries, revelations, illuminations.

But recognize that everyone is in their own unique classroom.
With a unique course of study.
A solo curriculum in the school of life.

Don’t ass-u-me that your lessons are their lessons. Or that their differing set of studies on their life path means that they’re misguided or off the mark.

Be you.
And let others be themselves.

Make of them not an adversary.
Just because very real differences are present.
Just because your priorities—whether personal, political, or spiritual—aren’t shared.

Catch yourself in the act of turning an INNOCENT being into your adversary.
Make of them *not* a target for your conversion attempts.

Sure, be a catalyst.
Be an inspiration.
Be a light.
Be a source of insight and wisdom.
But skip the shoving of your views down other people’s throats.

Your views are your own…
The product of your unique life journey.
There’s always room to deepen and expand our own understandings of anything at all.

Your views are temporary.
And if they’re static, you’re not truly growing and evolving.
You’re parked in a conceptual and spiritual parking lot.

Be open-minded… open-hearted.
Honor your truths, for they are sacred.
But honor also other people’s truths…
For no matter your opinion of them…
those are their truths, indeed.

Love + Oneness,
Naomi
